Dyan F. Rauton, MSW, LISW-CP

Dyan Fore Rauton is originally from Florida but was raised in the Charleston, South Carolina area where she currently resides. She has been practicing Social Work for the past 20 years. She brings clinical and life experiences from working in such environments as Grief and Loss, Hospice, Domestic Violence, Employee Assistance, and Family Counseling.

Dyan received her Bachelor’s Degree from Limestone College and her Masters Degree in Social Work from the University of South Carolina. She is a State of South Carolina Board of Social Work Examiners approved, Licensed Independent Social Worker – Clinical Practice (LISW-CP). She is also a South Carolina Department of Social Services Certified Adoption Investigator, as well as a South Carolina Certified Dementia Specialist.

Dyan has always had a heart for the senior population and tailors her eclectic approach to the needs of each individual, while respecting their dignity and self-worth. She is dedicated to assisting seniors with their life concerns and transitions. Her mantra has always been The Golden Rule, “Do unto others as you would have them do to you” Luke 6:31.

Gretchen is a highly experienced registered nurse and has been a Certified Family Nurse Practitioner since 2000. She has worked in many areas of health care and has directly witnessed the changes that have impacted her patients, while continually seeking solutions to ensure high quality care.

Her nursing experience includes primary care, medical forensics, cardiovascular and intensive care, geriatrics and home care, as well as several years of teaching nursing in the classroom and clinical setting. She is a published author in the area of professional nursing. Gretchen has a special interest in natural therapies, functional medicine and nutritional therapies. She strongly believes in a holistic mind, body, and spirit approach to health.

She has worked with a variety of organizations including non-profit clinics, free-standing clinics, and large corporate organizations, including MUSC, Roper Foundation Community Outreach, Trident Technical College and multiple national companies. She has obtained and managed many private and government grants to provide services to vulnerable populations, including The Duke Endowment, the Department of Justice and The United Way.

Gretchen is a member of the American Nurses Association, the American Holistic Nurses Association, and the Kresser Institute of Functional Medicine. She is a dedicated life-long learner who engages in professional continuing education on a weekly basis. She is a strong patient advocate who is fully committed to providing compassionate, high quality healthcare.
