Janay Price, MSW, LCSW, LISW-CP
Janay Price is the Founder/CEO of Premier Counseling, LLC. She is a native of Sabine Parish, LA but spent her most impressionable years in Spring Lake, NC. She was attracted to the field of social work and pursued the profession as the social work values and principles aligned with her personal values. Service to address social problems; challenging social injustice; respecting the inherent dignity and worth of a person; recognizing the central importance of human relationships; and behaving in a trustworthy manner are not only the social work values but the values in which Janay aims to maintain daily.
Janay earned the bachelor’s of social work degree from North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University and just two months after graduation embarked on the journey of obtaining the master’s of social work degree from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. Janay also has obtained the certificate in gerontology.
Janay served as the 2018-2020 secretary of the South Carolina chapter of the National Association of Social Workers. She has been a professional in the field since 2009, practicing clinical social work (psychotherapy) since 2012, and a State of North & South Carolina Board of Social Work Examiners approved Clinical Supervisor assisting those on the pursuit of clinical licensure. She is dedicated to serving the underserved and underrepresented which created the desire to service the senior community affected by mental health illness; seniors facing grief and loss; and the challenges which arise during the transition to the later phases of life.
Rabindranath Tagore
TK Bradford
TK Bradford was born in Pittsburgh, PA and is one of six children. He currently resides in Columbia, SC. Mr. Bradford is dedicated and takes pride in his involvement in his church and community. He is committed to being successful as well as assisting others to be successful!
Mr. Bradford joined The Premier Team as Chief Operating Officer in December 2017. He brings with him over 25 years of successful experience in Business Management, Business Consulting, and Marketing. Mr. Bradford is President of The Bradford Group of Companies, LLC, which consists of The Bradford Group Financial Service Company, The Bradford Group, World Leadership and Personal Growth Institute, and Bradford Properties Division, LLC. The Bradford Group of Companies has offices both in Pittsburgh PA and Columbia SC.He is a former member, board chair or president of many organizations in Western Pennsylvania and the South Carolina Midlands area. Mr. Bradford has served as Chairman, President, Executive Board Member, and/or Consultant to various organizations including Boy Scouts of America, WQED Executive Business Partners, Parent Community School Council (Pittsburgh Public Schools), amongst others.
In addition to serving as Board Chair for non-profit organizations, Mr. Bradford worked with United Way of Allegheny County in various capacities for over 15 years. Mr. Bradford is a Master Consultant for P.A.C.E. (Program to Aid Citizen Enterprise), and a member of P.A.C.E.’s Executive Coaching Team. He is a consultant for the Robert Morris University and Bayer Centers Non-profit Leadership Institutes’, Managing for Excellence Initiative, and is listed in the Leader-to-Leader Institutes National Directory (formerly the Drucker Foundations National directory). He is a founding member and past President of Toastmaster International Chapter 1104, and is a member of the National Speakers Association.
TK Bradford

Shayla Peterson, MSW, LCSW, LISW-CP
Shayla Peterson is originally from Los Angeles, California and recently moved to Columbia, South Carolina in the Spring of 2017. She has been practicing Social Work for 15 years and Licensed as a Clinical Social Worker since 2014. She joined the Premier team in June 2017 and expressed, “she is happy to serve the Senior population with such a passionate group of professionals”.
She received her bachelor’s of psychology and masters of social work from California State University, Long Beach. Shayla’s worked in a variety of settings serving diverse populations by providing psychotherapy to Foster Youth, Youth Juvenile Justice System, Veterans and Military Families, and Seniors. She understands the importance of human relationships and honoring the dignity and worth of the individuals being served.
Shayla uses an eclectic approach tailored to needs of each individual being served. Shayla’s areas of expertise are a Person-Centered Approach with the use of Solution Focused Brief Therapy; Cognitive Behavior Therapy; and Psychoeducation to address depression, anxiety, phase of life changes, grief and loss, and life stressors. Shayla is committed to being an advocate for the senior population by being a linkage between older adults and the mental health services they may need. Shayla serves as a psychotherapist and the clinical consultant of the Premier Team. Shayla is also a State of South Carolina Board of Social Work Examiners approved LISW-CP Supervisor.
