Clinically Sound Services
Premier Counseling, LLC is dedicated to providing quality mental health services to the aging population (55 and up). Our services are provided by licensed clinical social workers (mental health therapist) and medical professionals with an array of knowledge and expertise. We strive to improve the overall well- being of those we serve through ongoing therapy and the appropriate medication management regimen of psychotropic medications.
Phase of Life Concerns
Phase of life concerns include discontent with the aging process, retirement, relocation, social concerns, and bereavement.
Anxiety
General feelings of worry, fear, or uneasiness. Types of anxiety include generalized anxiety disorder, post-traumatic stress, panic disorders, obsessive-compulsive behaviors, and social phobias.
Geriatric Therapy
Psychotherapy for people ages 65 and older. Clinicians are mindful of the biopsychosocial aspects of the seniors served.
Grief and Loss Counseling
Grief and loss counseling benefits those mourning the death of a loved one as well as addresses significant life changes which may trigger grief such as divorce.
Dementia with Behavioral Disturbances
Memory loss which interferes with the tasks of daily living with characteristics of agitation, mood disorders, sleep disorders and psychosis.
Depression
Persistent feelings of sadness, hopelessness, and lack of enjoyment in things once found pleasurable. Symptoms are present across most situations.
Psychosis
A range of conditions which affect the mind with a loss of contact with what is real. Psychosis markedly interferes with one’s capacity to meet life’s demands.
Adjustment Disorder
Difficulties becoming acclimated to a stressor.
Bipolar Disorder
A combination of high and low moods which do not follow a set pattern. Episodes happen over a period of weeks, months, and possibly years.
Schizoaffective Disorder
Symptoms of hallucinations or delusions as well as the presence of mood disturbances.
Other Services
Cognitive Screenings
A screening designed to detect cognitive impairments. The screening will test multiple domains to include concentration, executive functioning, short-term memory, language, visuoconstructional skills, and orientation.
Bereavement Groups
Groups are open to adults 55 years of age and older with the goals of helping individuals move forward in the grief proces, adapt to changes in life circumstances, and focus on new roles/identify/relationships. LEARN MORE
Psychiatric Crisis Response Team
Our psychiatric crisis response team is available 24/7/365 to provide face-to-face emergency psychiatric evaluations for seniors presenting with symptoms that may warrant psychiatric hospitalization. LEARN MORE

In-Services and Workshops
Premier Counseling’s Founder/CEO Janay Price is passionate about educating others on mental health and the effects of mental illness in the senior population. In-services and workshops vary in duration between 1-3 hours based on the needs of the organization and participants.
