Syreeta Miller is originally from Spartanburg, SC but has lived in the Columbia area since 2003. She has been a registered nurse for 15 years and an advance practice nurse for one year. She joined the Premier team in April of 2017 and expresses, “It has truly been a wonderful experience”.

She received her bachelor’s of nursing degree from the University of South Carolina-Upstate and masters of nursing degree from the University of Phoenix. She later decided she wanted to become a nurse practitioner to continue professional growth as well as personal aspirations on the pursuit to serve and treat those with medical concerns to provide a better quality of life; therefore, she received the post masters certificate from Kaplan University. She received her bachelor’s degree in Social Work from Colorado State University-Pueblo CO and master’s degree in Social Work from Newman University, Colorado Springs CO.

Laketa was dedicated to the field and aspired to further her education and skills therefore she decided to attend the Mississippi University for Women to obtain the Associate of Science degree in Nursing. As an LPN with Baptist Memorial Hospital, Lutheran Homes of South Carolina, and Palmetto Health she handled admissions and discharges, provided patients with the highest level of comfort during their hospital stay, collected blood and other specimens for various lab tests, started and discontinued IV therapy, and a host of other nursing responsibilities, such as, documentation, taking and recording vital signs, assisting the physicians with any minor procedures, and educated patients, as well as family members. She also performed audits on patient records; and updated medication records as needed.

Laketa could not stop there as she was dedicated to learning more and serving patients at a higher level. She pursued and earned the Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing in 2009 from Chamberlin College of Nursing. She continued her education at Chamberlin and earned the Master of Science in Nursing Education in 2012; followed by the Master of Science in Nursing- Family Nurse Practitioner in 2014 from Walden University. She has served as an adjunct clinical nursing instructor at South Carolina State University, the University of South Carolina, and Fortis College Columbia.

She has a passion for serving those living with mental health concerns and for many years she worked with South Carolina Department of Mental Health where she served as the charge nurse for a 25 bed facility of men with chronic mental illness, ranging in age from 22-58. She worked closely with the Nurse Manager and Treatment Team (doctor, social worker, mental health specialist, and activity therapist) incorporating a treatment plan to prepare patients to function in the community. On a day to day basis she ensured the patients attended appropriate groups that fit not only their diagnoses but helped them manage various behaviors on the unit. She was also responsible for supervising licensed and unlicensed staff.

He is a motivational speaker who often speaks to youth and specializes in given guidance to formerly/incarcerated individuals. Mark is committed to the mental health and well-being of his clients and all those he encounters. Mark works as a clinical therapist with individuals, families, and groups to assist them with enhancing their lives and giving them the confidence needed to empower themselves.

Mark also has worked with Fresenius Kidney Care for the past 13 plus years where he is a Renal Social Worker. At FKC he continues to provide clients with the tools and resources necessary to become productive members of society despite their condition.

In 2010 Mark founded LAY UP (Leading America’s Youth Upward Program) a 501c3 organization for the purpose of providing a safe haven where inner-city youth participate in a comprehensive program of team activities and academic tutoring that promotes the physical, educational and life skills necessary to prepare and empower them for leadership in their communities and success in their personal lives.

Ebony Hudson is new to South Carolina, having moved here in July 2018 upon her husband’s retirement from the military. She is originally from the Philadelphia,PA/Southern New Jersey area. She received her BSW from Seton Hall University in 1999 and her MSW from the University of Pennsylvania in 2001. She is an LISW-CP in South Carolina. Ebony is a member of the South Carolina Chapter of the National Association of Social Workers. She has worked in various aspects of healthcare throughout her career with extensive experience in the area of mental health. She has also provided individual therapy at a Christian Counseling Agency while residing in New Jersey. Ebony has always had a passion for the elderly population and considers it a privilege to work with individuals who have a wealth of wisdom, knowledge, and experience. She has a strong desire to help seniors cope with the various life changes that are part of this stage of their life and to do so in a respectful, yet effective manner.
